Clinical Sites

Our residents train at a variety of clinical sites, within the University Hospitals system and throughout the community, including:

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is a 1,032-bed tertiary medical center and an affiliate of Case Western Reserve University. Together, they form the largest center for biomedical research in the state of Ohio.


University Hospitals – Richmond Medical Center : Our newly-renovated Adult and Neuropsychiatric/Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatry units enable us to care for 18 Adult and 16 Geriatric patients.



University Hospitals – Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital : This 244-bed, full-service children’s hospital with a pediatric ED is home to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, which can provide care to 10 patients.




Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center : Offers a full range of primary, secondary         and tertiary care services to more than 110,000 Veterans each year. Inpatient psychiatric units can provide care for up to 30 patients. Outpatient services include specialty clinics in PTSD, Women’s Mental Health. Both Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Electroconvulsive Therapy are available.


St. Vincent’s Charity Medical Center – Rosary Hall Detox Unit : Founded in 1952, Rosary Hall has been at the forefront of treating alcoholism and drug dependency for more than 60 years, treating more than 60,000 men and women. Its founder, Sister Ignatia Gavin, worked hand-in-hand with Dr. Robert Smith after he co-founded Alcoholics Anonymous in Akron, Ohio.


Northcoast Behavioral Health: State-run psychiatric facility provides exposure to inpatient court-mandated treatment.

Cuyahoga County Justice Center: Offers a wide array of experiences in forensic psychiatry.              Top


Highland Springs : A newly-contructed 72-bed inpatient psychiatric facility, which also offers outpatient mental health and addictions treatment. 



Centers for Families and Children:  One of the oldest and largest nonprofit organizations in Northeast Ohio, serving 23,000 people annually in our community.



Connections : A leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in northeast Ohio, dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency, and advocating on behalf of clients and their families.




Frontline: The largest and most comprehensive continuum of care for homeless persons in Ohio, including street outreach, emergency shelter, behavioral health care, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing.


Recovery Resources : Determined to ensure that our client and others living with mental illness and addiction are embraced by a comprehensive health care treatment that addresses both behavioral health issues and broader health needs, so that soon, they can experience lives filled with health and hope.



The Free Clinic of Greater Cleveland: Addresses vital community health needs by providing high quality health care and related services to individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay.


Case Western Reserve University Counseling Services : Offers wellness programs, psychiatric services, and prevention and recovery service programs as well as clinics on healthy sleep, meditation, anxiety and stress management.


Oberlin College Mental Health: Provides psychological support to students as they pursue their academic and personal goals to enhance the quality of each student’s experience.


John Carroll University Mental Health : Foster the growth of students within the context of the whole person; enhancing their emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social development in order to facilitate achievement of their                                                                                              academic and personal goals.


Cleveland State University Mental Health : Offers academic, career, and personal counseling, consultation and outreach programming, training, group facilitation, and other services.
